Raking Up Clippings and Leaves

Lay Rake n Sweep opening under your plant

I spent a few hours pruning some Photinia Plants this weekend along our fence. It’s crucial to the health of the plant. I used my Rake “n” Sweep to pick up the leaves and clippings. It was a real time saver and I was glad that I had it.

There were a couple of things that I wanted to share with you that I thought would be helpful.

The first thing is that when you are raking up clippings, they tend to resist enter the bag opening more than leaves. I use what I call the foot wedge technique. While hold the dustpan down with one foot push the pile of clippings in with the side of your other foot.

The second thing I learned from my wife. I had a Heavenly Bamboo plant that was blocking the faucet. The yard was all raked up and she didn’t want me to drop “crumbs” on her yard bark. She had me lay the opening of the BagJaw frame under the branch that I was going to cut. Everything dropped into the bag and there was no need to clean anything up.

Happy Rake n Sweeping!
